The place for Formula One insights
Formula One. Not just flashy cars, drivers and teams but a sport with a difference, a sport with iconic venues across the world, from Silverstone to Monaco, their tracks are what brings the excitement, spectacle and history.
Apex is an imaginary independent magazine focused on providing an insight into tracks in the Formula one scene. Our aim... to make the tracks known, to tell the tales to the people who want to know.
We don’t want to be lost on retailers shelves, we were made to stand out, made to be the best Formula one mag on the market.
From track walk throughs, to famous races, crashes and winners, Apex covers everything that happens on track. With each issue featuring exciting interviews and upcoming events.
APEX MAGAZINE
APPROACH
We strive to make our magazine a space for current and aspiring F1 fans. Ultimately we want people to fall in love with tracks, feeling excited about their history and the magic tracks have in the Formula One space. We have two mottos, each playing a different part in involving our fans.Tales of the track, features on our masthead, whilst For the Fans is on the back of every issue, aiming to keep our fans in the know, that its for them and we aim to make every issue even better than the last.
APEX is available via the apexmagazine.co.uk website, where you can either buy a single magazine or subscribe to receive your eight yearly magazines. But we don’t want to stop there we see our magazine being sold around the globe in independant shops.
Apex comes out eight times a year, allowing us to conistently supply our fans with 60 to 80 pages of content each issue. With 75 tracks already having featured in Formula one and more on the horizon, there is non stop content that will help us make magazines for years to come.
Apex is driving forward to make a mark in the magazine world, with your help we can make that happen.
COVERS
Each cover is assigned one of the four Apex primary colours, Green, Red, Blue and Pink. I chose these colours as they’re prominent in the Formula One scene. I wanted to use colours that stood out and worked with colour, greyscale and duotone images. Using the colours in different ways such as tints and different quantities, helps create visual interests throughout the magazines.
Every front cover includes the masthead, an image of the track the edition is on and the edition number and location. Hoping to resonate with the biggest Formula One fans the images used should enable fans to know what track it is even from a far in a shop or magazine store.
The back includes the layout of the track, below the APEX motto ‘For the Fans’, with the last ten winners of the race held at the track.
