Hi, I’m Edan,

I'm a Graphic Communications and Typography graduate with a passion for branding, typography, photography and visual storytelling. I enjoy solving complex design problems through thoughtful, strategic and distinctive creative solutions. Whether developing a new identity or evolving an existing one, I'm driven by creating work that helps brands communicate with clarity, confidence and purpose.

Collaboration is a key part of my creative process. I enjoy working alongside other designers and multidisciplinary teams to produce engaging, user-centred design that balances creativity with commercial objectives. I approach every project with curiosity, attention to detail and a willingness to challenge conventional thinking where it benefits the outcome.

During my studies, I gained industry experience at Honey Creative in London, where I worked alongside experienced designers on a range of creative projects. The placement strengthened my understanding of professional design practice and gave me valuable insight into the collaborative nature of agency work. While there, I attended the D&AD New Blood Festival, where discussions around artificial intelligence reinforced my belief that emerging technologies should enhance creativity rather than replace it. I see AI as a valuable tool that allows designers to work more efficiently while leaving space for strategic thinking, originality and human creativity.

Outside of design, travel has had a significant influence on my creative perspective. Spending time travelling throughout Australia and New Zealand exposed me to new cultures, architecture and visual identities, encouraging me to think more broadly about design and the ways it shapes people's experiences.

Sport has also played an important role in my life. Having played cricket since the age of four, I have gone on to coach, umpire and score at both youth and adult level. Achieving my ECB Level 2 coaching qualification has strengthened my leadership, communication and mentoring skills, qualities that naturally transfer into collaborative creative environments.

I am currently based in Wellington, New Zealand, on a three-year Working Holiday Visa. After travelling the country, Wellington stood out as a city with an inspiring creative community and a place I knew I wanted to build both my career and my life. It continues to provide opportunities to grow as a designer while drawing inspiration from its vibrant culture and design scene.
